1. Believe in yourself!

The more shows you play at the better you will get and more people will take notice of you.

5. Overcome the Fear of Rejection!
‘NO’ is the best form of feedback! Remember that.
Being turned down doesn’t make you weak or bad at what you do, it makes you stronger & helps you develop a strong will.

6. Be a leader!
You need to remember this, nobody should treat you like a pushover. For survival you need to be assertive, handling people with off beat song requests at gigs to demanding for paychecks, be firm!

7. Educate Yourself!
Music is very dynamic, you need to be too!
Be well informed about the industry & soak in all the words of wisdom by senior Djs in the industry.
Learn from their mistakes and don’t repeat any of your mistakes.

8. Build Lasting Relationships!
Your relationship with the clubs, artist agencies and fans can make or break your career.
Stay connected with your brokers & fans offline as well. Clubs always hire those people who bring in the audience.

9. Set Professional Standards
If you want to be taken seriously in the industry, remember that you should have a professional approach. Be on time, don’t play beyond your allotted time & get your business collaterals like your business cards, press pack, invoice and website etc. in place.

10. Never Give Up
Because Quitting Is Not An Option!
Your dream is the ultimate goal and that’s all that matter! If nothing is going right, stay strong & keep calm, good vibes are coming your way very soon!
