20 Last Minute Halloween Costume Ideas

Halloween is just around the corner, and if you haven’t picked out your Halloween costume yet, we've put together some awesome, easy costumes that are great to do up on the last minute.

Remember costumes tell a story and this is that one time in the year you could get away with practically any madness! And believe me madness it will be at our annual Halloween party. So here are some easy DIY costume options to get into the festive spirits without breaking a sweat!

FOR THE LADIES A WITCH

Ladies, this is one of the most popular costumes of all time. Don’t have time, wear a black dress along with a pointy hat and smack on some dark lipstick. Tip: Add a shimmery cloak and a broom and woowza.. you could be evil personified!!

THE FAIRY

Tired of being the witch every year? Show your kinder side by donning your favorite dress along with a crown and a wand. Don’t forget to carry some fairy dust (glitter) to throw around.

TIP: Add magic to your look with shimmering makeup and some magical wings of course!

THE PRINCESS

You probably dreamt of being one anyways since you were a little girl, so why not make your wish come true! You will need a big gown, preferably something flaired and a crown or a small tiara to go along. Tip: Looking for an outfit for your man? Make him dress as prince Charming, or even the Frog. Believe me girls he wouldn’t complain if he knows the story ;)

DISCO DIVA

All you need for this one is high heels, a sparkly dress and… a head band! Transform yourself into a 60’s disco diva in no time with just these basics! Tip: You could even show off your wilder side with a big curly hair wig!

Just because its Halloween doesn’t mean we want you all spooky! This is actually a pretty fun look to experiment. Its about going all scary on one side and cute on one… Tip: Save time with the skeleton look (see below) on half your face.

FOR THE MEN AND WOMEN

THE SKELETON FACE

This is one look you could pull off even if you are terrible with makeup. Just take tons of black gel kajal and go have a ball on your face. The scarier, the better. No?

Tip: Don’t try too hard to be neat for this look.

A HIPPIE

This one is pretty simple if you have your old bell bottoms lying around. Wear a head band, those pants along with big round sunglasses to complete this look.

A GHOST

If you are seriously running out of ideas or want to hide your face (Zits sometimes have the worst timings!) go for the oldest trick in the book. Use a white bed sheet with cut out holes for your eyes. Tip: Make sure you don’t trip on your sheet.

A MUMMY

This look is perfect if you don’t want your ex-girlfriend to recognize you!! Take rolls of white gauze (the one that is used for dressing wounds) and wrap it all over. You can’t look fresh if you have been dead more than a thousand years, so mess you gauze bandage with some brown color. Don’t forget to wear clothes underneath to avoid a wardrobe malfunction. :o

A ROBBER

All you need is a black and white striped shirt, dark sunglasses and a beanie and you are all set to rob a bank! Whoops! I meant rock the party..! Tip: Get black gloves and paint a cloth bag with a Dollar sign to complete the look.

A CREATIVE ZOMBIE

Worried that you will be taken for a homeless in your Zombie outfit? Go creative and come out with versions of these man-eating creatures. How about doing a Cheerleader zombie, a zombie cowboy or even a zombie vampire!!

THE GREEK GOD-GODDESS

This is another really easy DIY costume, and one of my favorites. All you need is a white dress or a bed sheet! TIP: If you want to look like a Greek god or a goddess complete the look with a hair wreath, gladiators and accentuate with gold accessories.

FOR THE MEN

GOD’S GIFT TO THE LADIES There is no better time in the year to proclaim that are God’s gift to Women. Wear your favorite clothes. Use a bow and string a big note at the back that says “To: Women From: God” ;) Tip: If you want to go the extra mile, gift wrap yourself.. ;)

NERD

All you need for this one is thick rimmed glasses and a basic white shirt.

Tip: To be a cool nerd and stand out, add some suspenders and a bow-tie.!

A DOCTOR

If you have your brother’s lab coat lying around this could a perfect look. Just grab a stethoscope from the nearest chemist. Couldn’t find the stethoscope, just use that lab coat, dishwashing gloves and a pair of thick rimmed glasses to become Dexter (From the cartoon Dexter’s Laboratory).

DEXTER

Since we bought up Dexter, here is a little creative inspiration for all you fans of Dexter the TV series. Look like your favorite serial killer with cargo pants, full sleeves tees, along with a black apron and gloves. Tip: Want to make things a little gruesome, use a toothbrush to finely spray your face with red color.

A COWBOY

You can get off easy with this outfit by wearing a white shirt, denims and a brown broad belt with the Cowboy hat. Tip: To avoid looking boring, wear a waistcoat along with a gun holster and a sheriff badge!

If all you have is a basic black suit in your closet this may be your life saver! Wear a white shirt, black tie and dark shades along with that suit and voila you are a part of the top secret government organization.
