The IWD Celebrations For The Young & Fabulous City Girls

When I got thinking about what special affair I wanted to host for Women’s Day, my first thought was that it should be true to what women like best – being pampered! With this idea I decided to call on a few of my young and fabulous gal pals who I hadn’t met for a while, for a very special IWD at one of my favorite salons in the city – Jean Claude Biguine, to pamper the-oh-so fabulous ladies of Bangalore.

So if you read my last blog, you will know that this year the IWD celebrations started early with a Stiletto Run in the morning at UB City. Once the run got over, I reached the salon, located quite centrally on Lavelle road, Bangalore and waited for the ladies to arrive.

One by one as the beautiful gals began to flow in, JCB kept up to their hospitality and offered the lovely ladies hor d’oeuvres and fresh fruit juices. Soon they were seated with a juice in their hand getting their choice of service, from express hair spas to pedicures, and conversations began to flow.

The Hair Spa ritual by Kerastase was the top request by the girls and why not? We girls really tend to abuse our hair, from styling for shoots to over coloring. The experts at the salon analyzed their scalps and quizzed them about their hair concerns while suggesting a whole list of treatment options customized to their needs. From the common concern of lack of volume to more specific ones like scalp sensitivity (what I have!) they have 7 different Rituals to give your hair AND scalp the TLC it deserves.

As I chatted with my friends moving from one table to next I saw the transformation unfold before my eyes. Oh boy, did their hair look healthy, shiny and bouncy!

As you can see, the girls couldn’t wait to show off and get their pictures clicked.

The pedicure was a long luxurious one, which began with the usual cleaning process and ended with a light yet perfect massage. For my friend and author Bhaavna Arora who was with me during the Stiletto Run, the pedicure was just what she needed in her life. She fell in love with her foot massage, and in the end and not just her foot but her whole person looked rejuvenated. Elixir, one of Bangalore’s youngest hot model, also opted for a pedicure after the run and couldn’t stop smiling and flaunting her pretty toes post her pedicure.

Before you see the pictures from the lovely get together, I have to tell you that JCB is my hot fav salon and not just for the ladies but also for men. They have products and services that still haven’t reached the Indian market… And well I also love all things French!!!
